FINDING A DANCE PARTNER 

I’m trying a new dating app called Match.dot.dog to increase my circle of dog friends and dance partners. 

On these on-line dating apps, I think there ought to be category for:

Mildly Interested, but Still Ambivalent.  

MY DATING AD

Full disclosure:  I know my way around Service Dogs because I am one and I have one and her name is Lulu.

Me:  Happy-Go-Lucky, Friend to all, Easy on the Eyes, Enjoys chasing balls. 

Hobbies:  Bird Watching, Poker, Crunching on Legos, and finding kibbles between couch cushions.  

You:  Adore me.  

Besides on line, I am going to post it on bulletin boards in Vet Offices with my picture and see what it “fetches.”

I am planning to narrow down the field with a Questionnaire asking:

1. What are you grateful for?

2. How are you making the world a better place for  dogs?

3. Do you have a “cause” that speaks to you, like dog advocacy?

4. What are you doing to improve the lot of dogs and people?

I review the Questionnaires and tell them I’ll get back to them if I think a second interview is warranted.  That’s how it works.  I’ll keep you posted on my progress.

WISE

My teacher at school wants to know how I got so wise, even Mum wants to know.  

It started in Nashville when I was living on the streets, relying on faith, missing a meal here and there, then suddenly finding food.  I think it helped me develop faith that the Universe provides even for the lowly among us…like me.

I also prefer hanging out with dogs that are smarter and wiser and it may have rubbed off.  Since I was grateful that Mum rescued me, I wanted to give back.  This led to a mission to help humans and pups have a fulfilled life.  Now things fall into place as if there is a guiding paw leading the way.

After I discovered my mission, Jack came into my life… 

THE JACK REACHER OF DOG SCHOOL

I discovered that Jack Reacher is a fictional hero in a book series by Lee Child, a popular author among humans.  I informed Mum I want to become the Jack Reacher of Wagging Tails Dog Academy and Charm School.  She says, Explain!  She never knows what I’m going to say next! I told her it’s where male dogs fear me, female dogs want to BE me, and all humans look up to me.  Cool, huh?

THE GREATEST GIFT

The greatest gift you can give the world is TO BE YOURSELF or Jack Reacher.

And if you choose to be yourself moment to moment, because it’s a moment-to-moment job, the rewards are great.  It sounds easy but to be yourself is a challenge for many people.  Or more would do it.  

So, then the question becomes, how?  How do you be yourself?  I suggest start by listening.  Listen especially when you’re excited about an idea, activity or a person.  Does it arouse your curiosity and aliveness?  There are also other indicators you’re going in the right direction…

DANCE PARTNER UPDATE

I have gathered a list of contenders and narrowed it down to three.  I’m conducting “kissing trials” with some of the more promising candidates, hoping to narrow the field even further.
